About Us at The Spanish Learning Centre

Hi everybody my name is Ruth Cunningham and I am the owner of the Spanish Learning Centre. I am married with three beautiful girls, my

poor husband he is so out numbered!, but never mind he still manages to support Manchester United!

I am the full time qualified tutor at the learning centre and have at the moment three part time tutors who come and help me out in the evenings. I am English originally from Winchester but have lived the majority of my life in Blackpool in the north of England. Apart from that is for the almost 10 years I was living and working in Spain mostly in Mallorca one of the Balearic Islands and the south of Spain in the Costa de Almería and Costa Del sol. I lived in Spain for most of the eighties, so never include me in a pub quiz as I am rubbish on anything to do with
the eighties especially the music! Spain always was a bit behind when it comes to music so I hardly heard any of the great music that there was around in those days.

My passion is the Spanish Language and I love to share both the language and the cultural side of things I learnt along the way. As I am English I understand only too well how difficult it can be sometimes to learn a new language and I know (because I have been there!!) that sometimes it is the English that lets us down not our Spanish, Oh and shoes I just love shoes!!!
